About The Other Collective.
The Other Collective exists to celebrate creativity in all its forms, particularly where it has been overlooked, unheard, or marginalised.
We are dedicated to supporting artists and makers who have been ‘othered,’ including neurodivergent creatives, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those facing disadvantages and anyone who has struggled to find their place within traditional creative spaces. We believe that creativity is a vital human need and that access to it should never be restricted by circumstance, identity, or background.
Our mission is to remove barriers, challenge gatekeeping and cultivate a culture where diverse voices are not only included but also valued and celebrated. Our core values of inclusivity, accessibility and artistic freedom guide everything we do. Through our programs, workshops, community projects and supportive creative environments, we empower individuals to explore, experiment and grow.
We nurture emerging talent, champion lived experiences and create pathways for both artistic and personal development. We believe in the power of collaboration, community cohesion and the courage to create authentically.
Let’s reframe the narrative around being ‘othered’ and celebrate our creativity!
